THE QUIET ASHTANGI
On Being Neurodiverse In The Yoga Shala. Today, it happened again. And I know with heart-heavy certainty, it will keep happening. Unfixable, because it is not broken. I am not broken: I’m wired this way. [...] It’s through yoga that I’ve come to accept my neurodiversity and I’m learning to understand it slowly, day by day, but with that peeling comes raw vulnerability as the mask falls away.

What is Traditional Ashtanga Yoga: Mysore Style?
One of the most unique and beautiful things about traditional Ashtanga yoga is the Mysore-style method. If you’ve ever been to a yoga class where the teacher stands at the front and calls out poses, this will feel very different.
Here, you don’t follow a teacher’s verbal cues or move in sync with others. Instead, you learn a set sequence of postures – your own personal practice. We don't all start at the same time, and our practices are different lengths, starting from 30 minutes.
